What does amsa do?

• We attend MEDICAL CONFERENCES throughout California as a group.
• We attend our own conference which we help put together every year at CSUSB which is hosted by MAPSS.

what types of events does amsa host?

• We bring in GUEST SPEAKERS who discuss their journey through medical school or graduate school in the Health Professions.
• We host WORKSHOPS to create personal statements, resumes, internships, etc.
• We host group events to earn your CPR/BLS CERIFICATION

what sort of fun events does amsa host?

• We have fun field trips throughout the year such as hiking, archery, form study groups, etc.
• We also host game and movie nights.

What type of volunteer or internship opportunities can AMSA help with?

• We volunteer with other clubs on campus.
• We find LONG-TERM VOLUNTEER POSITION opportunities within the community or within a hospital setting (i.e. COPE Scholars, San Antonio Regional Medical Center, etc.)
• At the end of the year, we introduce a plethora of SUMMER INTERNSHIPS that you can apply for (i.e. Future Physicians Leaders (UCR), UCLA Prep, Health Connection, etc.)

what services does amsa offer?

• ALL MEMBERS receive a 15% DISCOUNT off of Princeton Review courses and materials!
• ALL MEMBERS are automatically enrolled to participate in the Presidential Service Award at CSUSB. In order to receive recognition for volunteer service, each members needs to complete 20 hours minimum. The volunteer dates are subject to change due to COVID-19, but if you are interested in volunteering and having your hours counted through the MobileServe app, please email us at [email protected].
